Many children and teens struggle with anxiety, emotional overwhelm, ADHD, school stress, social challenges, or simply feeling misunderstood. I am passionate about helping young people better understand themselves, build confidence, develop healthy coping skills, and strengthen their relationships at home, at school, and with peers.
I work with children, adolescents, and families to navigate life's challenges while creating lasting tools for emotional wellness. Whether a child is experiencing anxiety, difficulty managing emotions, struggles with attention and focus, challenges related to neurodivergence, or major life transitions, my goal is to help them feel more confident, capable, and connected.
Before entering the counseling field, I owned and operated Rock the Spectrum, a sensory gym that provided a supportive space for children of all abilities and their families. Through that experience, I developed a deep appreciation for the unique strengths and challenges children and caregivers face, while helping build a community where families felt understood, supported, and empowered.
As an adoptive parent of a Black child, I also bring personal insight into the importance of identity, belonging, representation, and navigating conversations around race and culture. These experiences have strengthened my commitment to providing culturally responsive care and creating a space where every child and family feels seen, respected, and valued.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and relationship-centered. I believe meaningful growth happens when children feel safe enough to be themselves and families feel supported rather than judged. Together, we work to build emotional awareness, resilience, confidence, and practical skills that clients can carry into their everyday lives.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, exploring new restaurants, cooking, biking, and finding opportunities for continued growth and learning.
