Hey there! I’m Michele.
REBT enthusiast, Mental Health Advocate, Mama (to my young adult and cats)
“I want to be happy, but what does that look like?!”
One of the foundational questions I ask is: what do you want to get out of therapy?
If I could wave a magic wand and transform your life, what would be different? After listening carefully to you, I help you set small, achievable weekly goals to build your confidence, make positive changes, and move you closer towards your vision for yourself.
I’m the objective person you need to help you gain insight internally and how to find your way to where you want to be. You have the power to define what you want out of your life. With all of the spaghetti flowing through your head, I find the meatballs.
I believe that through self-acceptance change is possible. I work with individuals to discover resilience and perseverance by working through barriers and building strength in their self-awareness along the way. I work with adolescents and adults struggling to manage daily life activities, navigate healthy relationships, improve self-worth, and with those who may be struggling to cope with experiences related to trauma.
In addition to individual therapy, I specialize in parent guidance and support. With over 10 years of experience as a parent coach and child care provider, I work with parents of varying dynamics to better understand their child(ren)’s development, and learn how to more effectively engage when addressing challenges related to behavior.
One of the gifts I bring to The Centered Life is a gentle nudge.
As a behavioral and goal-oriented therapist, I believe that therapy continues outside of the office. Therefore, I will encourage you to continue to do the work throughout the week to step out of your comfort zone.
When I’m not working, I love relaxing at the lake in the Upper Peninsula Michigan with my family and friends. I feel energized when I spend quality time nurturing the connections that I have that are closest to me. For my own personal growth, I would love to continue traveling and exploring new places.
