Clinical Therapist and Supervisor

Hi there, I’m Jesse! It’s an honor to journey alongside you.

“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
- Carl Rogers

Have you tried therapy before and felt like you didn’t fully connect with your therapist? Maybe they told you to use a coping skill before fully understanding you. Or maybe you’re new to therapy and just want to be heard and understood. I believe that therapeutic change happens best when a trusting relationship is built between client and clinician. I am a relational therapist; my main goal is to help you feel seen, heard, and accepted through a healing relationship to foster self-love and therapeutic change. Be prepared for laughter and tears - I will be feeling your emotions with you.

One of the gifts I bring to The Centered Life is patience, relationship, and unconditional acceptance and positive regard.

I am trained in Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT), and enjoy using this theory along with other attachment-based modalities and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help individuals, couples and families thrive. My demonstrated history of working with a wide range of clients sets me apart. I have a particular passion for working with young adults. Additionally, I am skilled in working with female issues, sexuality exploration, trauma, healing anxious or avoidant attachment styles, and racial challenges. My time working in Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs at behavioral health hospitals enables me to work with complex traumas that many individuals bring to therapy.

If I’m not working, you can find me at your local thrift store, practicing yoga and mindfulness, watching Survivor, or attempting a new dish or bread recipe. I love to play board games with my friends, watch a good movie, or catch a baseball game.

Whatever you are carrying, I want to help you slowly let go. I can’t wait to meet you!
