Jesse Charles, LPC
Hi there, I’m Jesse. It’s an honor to journey alongside you.
Counselor at The Centered Life, Twin Sister, Survivor Enthusiast
“The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change.”
- Carl Rogers
I believe that therapeutic change happens best when a trusting relationship is built between client and clinician. I want to get to know you, as you truly are. I operate from a strengths-based, client-focused perspective, and I seek to develop your current strengths to create lasting change. Other focuses I enjoy are Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Existentialism.
My demonstrated history of working with a diverse range of clients sets me apart. While I enjoy working with diverse populations, I have a passion for working with young adults. I love helping my clients discover their identity, meaning of life, and pathway forward. Additionally, I am skilled in working with female issues, religious questions, parenthood struggles, and bicultural challenges. My time working in Partial Hospitalization and Intensive Outpatient Programs at behavioral health hospitals enables me to work with complex traumas that many individuals bring to therapy.
If I’m not working, you can find me at your local thrift store, taking a walk around town, watching Survivor, or drinking a smoothie. I love to play board games with my friends, watch a good movie, experiment in the kitchen, or catch a baseball game.
Whatever you are carrying, I want to help you slowly let go. I can’t wait to meet you!
