Hey! I’m Robin. I’m happy to meet you and learn more about you.
Wife, Cat Parent to Buster and Chaplin, and Stand-Up Comedy nerd
“My goal is to develop an unconditional positive relationship with you.”
I help you explore the different processes to help manage and treat anxiety and depression, offering an eclectic variety of solutions centered on what you need.
It’s said that anxiety is caused by focusing on the future, while depression stems from dwelling on the past. So, my focus is on helping you discover and practice mindfulness to find peace in the present.
Some other types of therapy I use include traditional talk therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused and expressive and play therapy based interventions. I use Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI), Attachment Regulation and Competency (ARC) and other therapeutic parenting interventions as a basis for my parent coaching.
As a trauma- informed therapist, I have a deep understanding of families and their complex dynamics. In my past, I’ve worked with adoptive families and have since re-calibrated to working with kids, adults and couples.
One of the gifts I bring to The Centered Life is sand tray therapy, a powerful healing modality that I’m exploring.
The history of Sand tray therapy goes back to the 1920’s with a therapist named Margaret Lowenfeld. It's a great way to tune in with what’s happening in your life – things that can be hard to talk about. It’s popular with kids, but it’s been gaining traction with grown-ups, too. Best of all, there’s no artistic ability required! I encourage you to try it for yourself to see how it can help you.
My husband and I are cat parents to Buster (our tabby) and Chaplin (our tuxedo). In my downtime, I like spending time with them, being outside and working out. I also love to write, paint and catch live stand-up comedy shows.
